Riverboat Days

So this past week has been insanely busy; filled with work, meetings, and long band practices. But now that it is all over, I would have to say it was worth it.

Monday was when business started, as having work, and meetings, or something else planned for every evening during the week.  Saturday was a great day.  I slept in, listened to music in the park, went hiking, hung out at the lake, watched fireworks, and practiced.  The hike was amazing.  We went up to the Extu Falls.  My friend, Levi, made a trail earlier this year and found out that you can also hike up to the top of the falls, right behind where the water pours off the cliff.  After a long gruelling hike up rock slides, moss covered cliffs, drenched bushes and grass, we finally made it to the top.  It was amazing, and I think we might just go up there again very soon.

The most tiring days were Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, as we had to practice for our performance in George Little park on Sunday, and since at least 1 band member worked till 10 each night, our practices started at 9:30pm at the earliest, running till 2am at the latest, just to get our set sounding perfect.  They were long and hard practices, learning 3 new songs, and once we learnt them, perfecting them along with the other 3 we were going to play.  The practice paid off when Sunday rolled around, and we felt ready to take the stage, and play a high energy set to get people excited.  It was great that the sun briefly came out during our set, and it went great.  Anyone that was there can let you know that it was a lot of fun.  I know some songs were filmed, and I’ll try and get those online soon.
